After-School Program AssociateThe After-School Program Associate is responsible in assisting the Education Manager in the operations of the After School and literacy programs.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with homework completionEncourage students to develop independent problem-solving and editing skillsLead a specific component of daily and monthly operations and programming for the Education DepartmentProvide opportunities for children to succeed, develop, and strengthen academic, physical, and social skillsActively seek professional development and resources to further support youth and familiesReport possible cases of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment to the proper authoritiesEscort children from the pick-up locations to the Kroc CenterEnsure Child Safety Policies are practiced constantlyDesign, plan, and implement weekly lessons and activitiesResearch resources and tools for students and familiesBuild a positive rapport with all children and their familiesAssist with the transportation of program participantsOther related duties as requiredEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)CA driver's license (preferred)Experience working with youth (TK – 5th grade)Skills and Abilities:Great communication skillsComfortable with enforcing program rules and policiesAbility to leadTeam playerEquipment Used:Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
