Business Analyst – Location PlanningLocation: NY - open to remote (include Location at top of resume)Duration: 4 mos Max Budgeted Bill Rate: *** GENERAL FUNCTION -This temp role will cover two rotations with the first supporting day-to-day activity of CLIENT location Planning and in the second rotation supporting the SGH Assortment Execution team. As the CLIENT Location Planner, he/she will support the Director with the Location Planning strategy and execution for O Retail CLIENT. Interfacing with Distribution Center and Global Supply Chain to ensure seamless logistics.

Analyzes inventory position for O Retail CLIENT and collaborates with all partners to find the solutions/actions to achieve the target service levels for CLIENT. In the second phase of the assignment, as the SGH Assortment Execution Analyst reporting to the Manager of Assortment Execution, he/she will partnering with Central Merchandising and Group Store Planning teams supporting the adaption and execution of the frame strategy to maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover and customer satisfaction while continuing to drive corporate optimization and efficiency.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate across all functions including Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Communications to execute a comprehensive product and inventory strategyProvide weekly replenishment unit recap to the Distribution CenterManage Drop Tracking, Ontime Arrival DC to StoreCommunicate sales, inventory, and service level results weekly to Manager/DirectorReduce excess inventory through ownership of MS recalculations and weekly/monthly inventory reviewsMaximize store in-stock service level to maximize sales & meet consumer's needsManage communication with Distribution Center on weekly Replenishment orders, Seasonal Drop orders & ad hoc PO placement.Receive and first level trouble shoot store inventory concerns from field via Feedback Forms and provide responses with Manager/Director oversightDevelop product knowledge and trends material on new collections arriving in-store to be shared with brand partners + field teamsSupport Planning Manager with local market and brand initiatives with strong level of analysis and insights to global partnersFacilitate coordination of product and planning activities cross-functionally (Marketing, Host, Business Development, VM and Operations)Management and upkeep of host master data and pricingActively attain local Insights – store surveys, test insights, product needs.Project manage Product communications for brand field organization in collaboration with Global Retail team and Store Operations teamBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in retail, business, finance, marketing or related fieldsStrong analytical and mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available dataSelf-starter who is willing to "roll up the sleeves†to advance project workAble to use sound critical thinking to provide innovative solutionsStrong time management & organizational skillsAttention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office Experience (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Advanced Excel SkillsKnowledge of Retail Math and Planning, Buying and Merchandising principles2+ years' work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising
