Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment: Conduct thorough, age-specific respiratory assessments and reassessments. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather comprehensive medical histories and document findings accurately.
• Diagnosis: Identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs. Prioritize care based on assessment results and prepare tailored patient and family education.
• Planning and Outcomes: Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care and education plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes, incorporating patient and family input.
• Implementation: Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care using evidence-based interventions. Coordinate with community resources and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of respiratory treatments and patient responses, adjusting care plans as necessary. Evaluate patient and family understanding and response to education.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) by the relevant state health professions bureau.

Work Environment: This part-time position offers a weekend option with 48 hours biweekly, primarily during the first shift, serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
