Job Details:

• Deliver skilled patient care in collaboration with attending surgeons across diverse clinical settings
• Provide direct patient care in office consultations, including assessment, workups, triage, emergency work-ins, and other patient care activities
• Obtain and document health history, perform and document physical exams, and order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Provide counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment
• Obtain consents for Smart Pill and Manometry procedures
• Support scheduled physician follow-up appointments
• Serve as IT liaison to address missing studies and shared drive issues
• Attend staff meetings focused on Motility Orders Workflow, including outside referrals and order management
• Manage triaged inbox messages including medication refills
• Read and interpret breath tests
• Provide education and training related to the Motility Spreadsheet
• Attend weekly meetings with physicians to discuss complex patient cases
• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Master's degree in nursing required
• National Certification in Advanced Practice and current CPR certification required
• Current State of CT APRN license with prescriptive authority and current DEA number required
• 2 years of experience in general surgery, colorectal surgery, ambulatory surgery, or acute care surgical setting preferred
• Strong clinical management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
