n We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Breast Surgery team in High Point, North Carolina.n

n This is a 1.0 FTE hybrid inpatient/outpatient position offering the opportunity to support patients across the breast surgery continuum of care. The APP will work collaboratively with the supervising physician and interdisciplinary care team while providing high-quality, patient-centered care in both the clinic and hospital setting.n

n Position Responsibilitiesn

n The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with the breast surgery team to support the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.n

  • n Provide patient-centered care within the Breast Surgery servicen
  • n Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinical settingn
  • n Participate in inpatient care responsibilities as appropriate to the positionn
  • n Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinationsn
  • n Develop and implement appropriate plans of care in collaboration with the supervising physiciann
  • n Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic studies and clinical testing within the APP's scope of practicen
  • n Provide patient and family education throughout the course of caren
  • n Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare teamn
  • n Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentationn
  • n Perform procedures within the scope of the position, training, credentialing, and applicable hospital privilegesn

n Qualificationsn

n Candidates should meet the appropriate education, certification, licensure, credentialing, and privileging requirements for practice as an Advanced Practice Provider.n

n Nurse Practitioner Candidatesn
  • n Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programn
  • n Eligible for or currently hold appropriate North Carolina licensuren
  • n Eligible for required hospital privilegesn

n Physician Assistant Candidatesn
  • n Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programn
  • n Eligible for or currently hold appropriate North Carolina licensuren
  • n Eligible for required hospital privilegesn
n Schedule & Calln

n The APP will also participate in the team's call schedule, with call coverage rotating approximately once every six weeks.n

n EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:n

  • n Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Programn

n LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:n

  • n Current applicable state Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensen
  • n Board certified in NP specialtyn

n ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:n

  • n Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.n
  • n Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.n
