Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)

Location: Pasadena, California

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate : $130 - $140/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in Pasadena, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Support breast surgeon in clinic, pre-op, and post-op settings within an Outpatient Surgery/Oncology department
• See an average of 10 adult patients per day in a clinic/private practice and hospital setting
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Work Monday through Friday on a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, with flexibility for five 8-hour shifts
• Collaborate with support staff including medical assistants, front office staff, and LVNs
• Maintain active California state licensure
• Maintain current board certification in applicable specialty
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience with a surgical or oncology background
• Provide three (3) professional references from the same specialty area with exposure to clinical practice within the last 2 years
• Provide one (1) authoritative source reference able to attest to current clinical competence within the last 2 years
• Complete credentialing process within the required 60-day timeframe
