Outpatient Primary Care – Adult Medicine
Role Scope
Working collaboratively with physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants provide comprehensive primary care, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, developing individualized care plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and educating patients. They collaborate with the care team to coordinate referrals and specialty care when needed, while practicing within established clinical guidelines and referring patients whose needs fall outside their scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut APRN or Physician Assistant license with unrestricted practice privileges.
- Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant program.
- At least one year of experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a comparable outpatient clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
