Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Urology Service Line Lead

## Overview

Sentara Healthcare, in partnership with VirtuCare, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to lead a new outpatient urology service line in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a specialty practice at its inception, receive structured urology training, and grow with a developing program. The successful candidate will serve as the primary on-site provider, benefiting from real-time clinical mentorship from a remote, board-certified urologist.

• Outpatient urology clinic (brand-new service line)

• Real-time collaboration with remote board-certified urologist
• Structured urology training program (videos, lectures, onboarding, and onsite training)
• Surgeons travel on-site to perform procedures while you manage outpatient care and continuity
• Opportunity to help build workflows, patient care processes, and clinic structure from the ground up

## Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site provider and face of the urology service

## Compensation

100,000 - 144,000 Annually

## Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (or similar clinic hours)
• No evenings, no weekends, and no call (at this time)
• Fully outpatient setting
• Potential flexibility for alternative schedules (e.g., 4-day work week depending on candidate and growth phase)

## Requirements

• Active NP or PA license (or eligible in North Carolina)
• Master’s degree required
• New graduates welcome; prior urology experience a plus but not required
• Strong communication and bedside manner, especially for sensitive urologic concerns
• Curious, coachable, and motivated to learn a new specialty
• Comfortable working independently in a rural, underserved community
• Excited to grow into a leadership role as the service line expands
