The APP provides care for critically ill premature and full-term infants with an emphasis placed on family centered culturally diverse sensitive care. In collaboration with the Neonatologist, the APP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.The Advanced Practice Provider practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.General Requirements:CDS and DEACurrent NRP and BLS certificationAPN Specific Requirements:APN LicenseRN LicenseOne of the followingNNP Certification with NICU RN experiencePrimary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient settingAcute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APPPA Specific RequirementsPA LicensePICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APPNCCPAScheduling Requirements:Full Time3 x12sDays/NightsRotating Holidays and WeekendsEssential Functions:Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with a physician.Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.Perform procedures as necessary.Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
