The Department of Medicine at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an outstanding Advanced Practice Provider II (Nurse Practitioner II or Physician Assistant II) to join the team. This person will deliver medical care to patients in an office or hospital setting and may be involved with the clinical rating of students or residents.

• Provide medical care to patients in an office or hospital setting.
• Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, and administration in patient care.
• Collaborate with peers and support staff.
• Participate in academic, clinical, or research activities as needed.
• Participate in education evaluations and career development of students, residents, fellows, and staff.
• Participate in committees as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s Degree as an Advanced Practice Provider – Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider – Physician Assistant.
• Licensure or license eligibility as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work in an academic or teaching setting.
