This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education with professionalism and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
  • Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
  • Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile environments and managing instruments.
  • Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements precisely.
  • Manage and update medication lists and patient summaries.
  • Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
  • Educate patients and guardians on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching.
  • Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, securing necessary authorizations.
  • Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.
  • Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and maintain excellent attendance.

Education
Completion of an accredited LPN program and an approved IV therapy course is required.
Experience
Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Certifications and Licenses
Must hold a current LPN license valid in the state of practice and possess American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Physical and Mental Requirements
This position requires significant mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.
Working Conditions
Exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is common, along with occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Minimal physical discomfort is expected.
