Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist

Position: The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist with an interest in academic practice to join our dynamic Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Services multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with advanced heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team of nine advanced heart failure/transplant cardiologists and twelve advanced practice clinicians (NP/PA).
• Provide inpatient care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure, including pharmacotherapy, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation.
• Mentor three ACGME Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology fellows and eighteen ACGME Cardiovascular Disease Fellows annually.
• Engage in clinical practice, education, and research to contribute to the growth and excellence of our cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah.
• For clinician-educator or clinician-investigators, board certification in Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography preferred.
