Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist

The AdventHealth Transplant Institute is seeking a fellowship-trained advanced heart failure transplant cardiologist to join their thriving heart program in Celebration, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work within a comprehensive team, supported by the extensive AdventHealth healthcare system. The physician will benefit from cross-coverage for advanced heart failure/transplant call and contribute to a program that includes a growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program and a fully developed ECMO program.

• Work in an exciting and thriving transplant program with full AdventHealth healthcare system support.
• Work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers.
• The Transplant Institute offers a vibrant and growing Mechanical Circulatory Support Device program and a fully developed ECMO program.
• The team performs 40-45 hearts and 30-50 mechanical circulatory support devices per year with multi-organ transplant capability.
• A robust cardiogenic shock program with over 250 temporary mechanical circulatory devices implanted per year and a state-of-the-art 9900 shock unit.
• Located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community, with an office site steps away from AdventHealth Orlando in an adjacent medical office building.

Responsibilities

• Work in an exciting and thriving transplant program.
• Work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers.
• Perform right and left heart catheterizations and biopsies.

Requirements

• Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant.
• Board certification is required in Cardiovascular Disease and in Advanced Heart Failure.
• Ability to perform right and left heart catheterizations and biopsies.
• Interest in inpatient and outpatient.
