This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. The ideal candidate will contribute to pioneering advances in heart failure management within a leading Heart and Vascular Center.
Practice Info
- Part of a Heart and Vascular Center recognized as a high-volume heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support center
- Leads the nation in multi-organ transplants, including heart-lung, heart-liver, and heart-kidney procedures, with select cases involving triple organ transplants
- Specialized clinics, innovative research initiatives, and multiple active clinical trials
- Multidisciplinary team comprising transplant surgeons, heart failure nurses, and pharmacists
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care for advanced heart failure patients, from diagnosis to long-term management, in both in-patient and out-patient settings
- Evaluate and manage patients for therapies including ventricular assist devices (VADs) and heart transplantation
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
- Participate in clinical trials and contribute to research initiatives aimed at enhancing heart failure outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and management of heart failure

Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in both Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology
- Proven expertise in managing complex heart failure and advanced therapy cases
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills
- At least 3 years of post-fellowship experience (preferred)
- Recent Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology fellowship graduates who demonstrate outstanding potential in this field are welcome to apply
