Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a board-certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute. This clinician will manage the full spectrum of advanced heart failure, ranging from guideline-directed medical therapy to mechanical circulatory support and cardiogenic shock management within a 626-bed tertiary care center. The role offers the opportunity to demonstrate leadership in clinical care, research, and education alongside a multidisciplinary team of cardiovascular specialists.

• Located at AdventHealth Tampa, a 626-bed tertiary care center in the AdventHealth West Florida Division
• Positioned within the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute
• Collaborates with a well-established group of 5 cardiothoracic surgeons and AdventHealth Medical Group Heart Care at Tampa physicians
• Facility is accredited by the American College of Cardiology with centers for transcatheter valve therapy, cardiac catheterization, cardiac electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, chest pain, and myocardial infarction therapy
• Holds the National Center of Distinction designation as a HeartCare Center
• Active cardiovascular research programs are supported by the AdventHealth Research Institute

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of advanced heart failure
• Provide guideline-directed medical therapy
• Integrate device and electrophysiology in heart failure care
• Manage cardiogenic shock and participate in the ECMO team
• Provide mechanical circulatory support
• Demonstrate leadership in clinical care, research, and education
