QCS Advanced Field Service Engineer

Honeywell International Inc. seeks a QCS Advanced Field Service Engineer at our Charlotte, NC location to support the development of on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems.

Expectations and Tasks:

  • Provide technical presentations to an audience of customers, other industry peers and competitors.
  • Promote revision and correction of work instructions and customer-facing training guides used by field installation specialists.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development.
  • Promote cross-functional groups within the organization to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment.
  • Act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Technology, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must include five (5) years involving each of the following:

  • Troubleshooting/maintaining Honeywell Sheet Manufacturing Scanners.

Experience must include three (3) years involving each of the following:

  • Troubleshooting/maintaining ABB Sheet Manufacturing Scanners;
  • Producing and reading electrical schematics, network diagrams, and P&IDs
  • VMWare Virtualization and Cisco Networking;
  • System software installation and configuration; and
  • Application software configuration.
