Job Summary

As a provider with Riverside Health Medical Group, you will join a collaborative care delivery team. You will care for patients of all ages at MD Express Urgent Care locations across the Hampton Roads region. Flexibility is offered with full‑time, part‑time, and labor pool positions.

Responsibilities

• See patients of all ages including infants, children, teens, and adults.
• Handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage work‑related stress.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, service‑oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer‑service‑oriented demeanor.
• Remain calm and professional in stressful situations and stay detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.
• Recognize problems, identify causes, and resolve routine problems.
• Perform medical tasks such as treating illnesses (cough & cold, flu, COVID‑19, allergies, asthma, pneumonia, dehydration, sinus infections, viruses, gastrointestinal ailments, sore throat, urinary tract infections, gynecological complaints, ear infections, bronchitis, eye infections, injuries, fractures, sprains, strains, lacerations, burns, abrasions, accidents, animal bites, eye injuries, ear injuries, foreign body removal, sports injuries, falls, physicals, sports physicals, STD screening, urine drug screens, workers’ compensation, minor surgical procedures, vaccinations (PPD, tetanus, Tdap, meningococcal, hepatitis B)).
• Assist in minor surgical procedures and act as a surgical first assist when credentialed.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Virginia or eligibility to obtain.
• Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Virginia or eligibility to obtain.
• National Board Certification: NP (AANP or ANCC) or PA (NCCPA).
• Valid DEA registration (or ability to obtain before start).
• BLS required; ACLS preferred, especially if role includes hospital or procedural work.
• Credentialing for surgical first assist if required (NP).

Location and Schedule

MD Express Urgent Care locations: Williamsburg, Yorktown, Newport News, Hampton, and Gloucester. Hours: 9:00am – 9:00pm, seven days a week.
