Overview
Adult Nurse Practitioner, Outpatient Office-based Addiction Treatment — Lynn, MA. This is an office-based addiction medicine practice integrated with behavioral health services. The practice trains its providers with tools and evidence-based treatment protocols so that they become confident medical providers in treating patients with addiction. The practice emphasizes a healthy balance between career and personal well-being; providers do not work nights, holidays or weekends and are not required to be on-call.
Responsibilities
- Provide office-based, direct patient care for mostly opioid and alcohol addiction at outpatient locations.
- Act as a medical liaison between medical/behavioral health providers and collaborate with the clinic physician.
- Collaborate with other staff regarding medication-assisted-treatment (MAT) and engage in patient medical case reviews.
- Adopt and collaborate on treatment plans with the collaborative team and be flexible to changes in the organization’s mission and processes.
- Demonstrate teamwork with strong personal and professional character.
- Participate in medical management of medications and provide compassionate care within a harm-reduction model.
Qualifications
- Experience as an NP in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care preferred.
- Massachusetts NP license, board certification, and current DEA certificate (MUST to apply).
- Existing X-DEA buprenorphine waiver certification.
- Experience in treating patients with addiction in any capacity.
