Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist

Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the dynamic Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Zucker Hillside Hospital. This role involves leading a dedicated sub-team within a 3-physician-run Adult Psychiatry Unit and offers significant opportunities for academic engagement, including supervising and teaching diverse behavioral health trainees. The successful candidate will also have the chance to collaborate with a nationally recognized Psychiatry Research program, contributing to advancements in the field.

• Zucker Hillside Hospital is a 236-bed behavioral health facility.
• Inpatient services include units dedicated to specific populations: adolescent, college-aged, adult, geriatric, and women's (perinatal psychiatry) units.
• Treatment specialties include early phase treatment, depression, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar, personality disorders, medical/neurological illnesses with psychiatric symptoms, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatry including Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
• The hospital has a 22-bed inpatient women's unit specializing in treating women with perinatal psychiatric illness.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated sub-team that includes social workers, rehabilitation therapists, and nursing staff.
• Supervise and teach diverse behavioral health trainees, such as medical students, residents, and psychiatry track nurse practitioner students.
• Collaborate with the nationally recognized Psychiatry Research program.

Compensation

• Nationally competitive salaries.
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
