About the Role:
A Student Outreach Specialist works collaboratively with admissions staff to assist in multiple areas of outreach for admissions and in the overall Manchester recruiting experience. Friendly to class schedules, extra-curriculars, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in classes at Manchester University
  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills
  • Strong handwriting and typing skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the invitations to and confirmations of campus visits
    • Conduct outreach for on-campus recruiting events
    • Create postcards and send text messages for campus visits, application pushes, and more
    • Report to the head of the Student Outreach Specialist program for weekly assignments
    • Make phone calls to prospective students for outreach such as confirming campus visits, encouraging students to visit, apply, file the FAFSA, etc.
    • Create and send personal videos reminding students to complete various tasks or inviting them to campus
