Position Summary


Conduct all initial registrations and/or evaluations for adolescents and adults seeking services at Porter Starke Services. Conduct crisis evaluations for adolescents and adults with mental health and substance abuse needs, when necessary.

Job Duties



  • Prepares new client registration and intake for outpatient services and programs.

  • Provides information and referrals to community services both in person and via the telephone.

  • Complete thorough intake evaluations, triage assessments and registrations.

  • Answer client phone calls.

  • Understands Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance programs in regards to coverage limitations and restrictions.

  • Maintains and assures client confidentiality.

  • Cross-train at all Admissions locations in the Porter-Starke network in order to provide support as needed as the various office locations, as deemed necessary by the Director of Acute Intensive Services.

  • Completes electronic and paper medical record documentation as required.

  • Provides crisis intervention services on-site or at contracted ED locations, when needed.


Education And Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Mental health experience preferred, but not required.

  • CPR certification is required, Porter-Starke can provide if needed.
