The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary

Perform registration, admission and scheduling functions for all inpatient and outpatient services provided by YKHC. Collect, update, and input patient demographics, history and insurance information into appropriate computer repository. Maintain or establish patient eligibility and primary provider on all patient encounters. Ensure appointment time is timely, communicate with clinics regarding patient appointment and registration status.

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • One year office experience.
  • One year in a customer service position.
  • One year experience with IBM or compatible computer system.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Type 40 words per minute and 10-key experience.
  • Has worked with Medicaid or commercial insurance preferred.
  • Held job for a minimum of one year continuously.
  • Yup’ik speaker preferred.
