nPosition: Admission Counselor/Quality Assurance Support Specialist
nReports To: OA Supervisor/Project Director
nDepartment: OA/CTS Department
nFLSA STATUS: Exempt
nPrimary Position Objectives
nConduct outreach, recruitment, eligibility determination, and admissions functions and processes and provide support services to admission counselors and CTS in compliance with government and management directives.
nPosition Responsibilities
nConduct innovative outreach activities with public service agencies, community organizations, schools and individuals who might refer eligible candidates to the Job Corps program
nInterview interested candidates and obtain pertinent information on each one
nPrepare documentation on potential students and review with the center as applicable or necessary
nProvide orientation for prospects; Communicate a clear and accurate description of Job Corps, the particular Center, and expectations for students; Schedule tours of the center if able
nMaintain monthly goals as directed by management
nContact all prospects within 24 hours; Record any contact or attempt of contact
nReview and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students; Prepare related reports
nPrepare necessary and required reports related to the outreach
nAssist in the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting student recruitment
nCreate network with youth development agencies, one-stop agencies, churches and community organizations to provide a wide-base for recruiting of potential students
nIntroduce labor market information to help with the career transition period process and analyze career paths in local labor market
nParticipate in student employ-ability programs and activities
nSupport, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy
nPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions
nMaintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices
nPrepare documentation on potential students and review with the center as applicable or necessary
nProvide quality control of all submitted OA files, submitted placements for accuracy, completeness, eligibility, appropriate, and ethical standards
nProvide Quality Assurance Check for timely and accurate submission of required documentation of all initial and post-placement services for all students as directed.
nFollow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student/applicant data
nProvide support for the OA, Center, and CTS contract to meet OMS standards and performance guidelines; Maintain monthly arrival goals as directed by manager
nArrange for and assist in providing pre-enrollment orientation, schedule tours of the center
nManage and assign prospects in OASIS; Ensure timely and accurate submission of required contact with prospective students
nAdhere to safety practices
nDemonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection’s core values and operating principles
nComply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), LifeSkills Connection’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
nParticipate in PRH mandated staff training; Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
nPerform other duties as assigned
nTravel as required; minimum 1 visit to the Great Onyx Job Corps Center required each month

nEducation
nBachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience.
nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations
nValid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
