Administrative Specialist I (S)The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative assistance and general office support to Rehabilitation Counselors and other personnel in the Asheville Unit providing services to individuals with disabilities. Job responsibilities include the following:Greeting visitors and callers courteously and professionally, to include contact with staff, vendors and other departments and the publicUsing a multi-line phone system to answer and route calls to appropriate staff membersPreparing documents, maintaining spreadsheets, inputting data, and completing billing processes for assigned staffReceiving applications from clients, along with requesting and obtaining medical/treatment recordsDocumenting client information, interactions, and services into the case management system throughout the rehabilitation processUtilizing office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet office needsSalary Range: $39,244 -$68,679Recruitment Range: $39,244 -$49,000Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:Knowledge of and/or experience working with persons with disabilitiesExperience providing effective front-line service to the public, including responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environmentsExperience performing routine administrative and office support functions such as data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and filing, with accuracy and attention to detailKnowledge of or experience working within a team settingPosition is funded in part through federal funds.Posting closes at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end dateApplication ProcessInformation should be provided in the appropriate areas, to include the following: Education, including high school and all degrees obtained, Work Experience, and Certificates & Licenses.
