Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled office and clerical work for the Natural Resources Department.
Work requires a basic knowledge of the office operation and includes significant internal and external high-level contacts. Emphasis is placed upon dealing with highly political, confidential, and diplomatic matters requiring extreme tact and poise. May supervise other clerical staff.Requirements: Two (2) years of general clerical experience PLUS two (2) years of responsible, independent secretarial work that includes experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software OR one (1) year of experience as a Brevard County Secretary. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Special Requirements: Must pass the Brevard County typing test at 45 correct words per minute. Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
