Administrative Director Emergency ServicesSalary Range: $127,649-$159,556 (Based on years of experience) Annual Bonus: 15% Director Bonus (Based on performance) Sign-On: Case by Case Relocation assistance: Case by Case Facility is a full-service, 457-bed acute care hospital equipped with a Level II Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and accredited by DNV - Healthcare as the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in Northeast Houston. We offer a wide range of comprehensive services, including complex cardiovascular services, specialized neurological care, orthopedic care and women's services including high-risk pregnancy care as well as pediatric services with access to pediatric specialists.Job Summary and QualificationsThe role of the Administrative Director of the Emergency Services Department assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Services Department, Free Standing Emergency Department, Emergency Management, and/or other departments as assigned.What you will do in this role:Accurately identify real/potential problems affecting the service and implement solutions with follow through and communicationActively participate in service, departmental and hospital wide committees as assigned, providing ongoing communication to those one representsAdvance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency DepartmentCoach immediate subordinates and provide feedback; constructive critique of work; facilitates individual development plan; and documents their job performanceAdhere to all Human Resource policiesEffectively communicate departmental, organization and industry information to staffFacilitate evidence based employee engagement practicesEffectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goalsParticipate in employee and patient rounding and identifies and mentors potential future leadersEnforce standards of emergency department care and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent complianceDevelop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing emergency services program which assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital missionMonitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy for patient services, and environmental and personnel safetyOversee a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of careBe responsible for department's operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standardsFollow the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Blood borne and Airborne PathogensSeek new program strategies and/or program enhancements which would expand patient servicesDevelop, prioritize and defend all capital equipment requestsBe responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization's financial resourcesPerform other duties as assignedWhat qualifications you will need:Candidates must have 5 years of RECENT acute care ED Director experience. (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE of 80 FTEs rolling under them + their ER has to have 60K+ visits)* MUST ALREADY HAVE FOUNDATIONAL OPERATIONS IN PLACE.Masters Degree is REQUIREDCurrently licensed or eligible as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) requiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredCertified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferredTrauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferredAdditional Information:Overall: · 457 bed facility · Level II Trauma · Chest Pain Center · Level III NICU · Comprehensive Stroke Center ED Summary: · Admin Director will oversee Adult ER + Pediatric ER + 2 FSEDs · Adult main ER – 29 beds – 150 patients/day · Pediatric ER – 10 beds – volumes are seasonal.
