The role allows the Advisor the assurance he/she needs to know that his/her Office/Practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines as well as those outlined by the Advisor.Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to handle significant levels of varied stresses, in particular mental stresses and fatigues. This position operates in a fast paced, highly regulated and ever-changing environment. There are no significant physical demands other than the endurance required to deal with the fast pace and stresses.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness and Practice ManagementGreet clientsDeposit & Log incoming checks/mail in to Ameriprise Mail LogHelp with necessary copying, scanning and filingAssist in basic client service including, birthday cards and meeting confirmationsMaintain files and recordsUpdate client data when instructed by AdvisorMaintain office supplies and order more when neededSpecial projects as necessaryKeep work methods and procedures up-to-date and compliantPlan and prioritize own work scheduleUse to-do lists, calendars, computer software or other work/time management systemsAssist with Online Client Experience set up and problem solving, as well as online set up for secure emailManage client experience and client touchpointsAssist with: Gifting, Client milestones, EventsAssist in meeting preparations including pulling e-meeting & updating excel sheets.Key Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Competencies:For success in this role, an individual must be able to perform each primary responsibility at a basic level. The financial health, image and goodwill of the company are highly influenced by the person holding this position.A successful Receptionist will have excellent inter and intrapersonal relationship skills, effective communication skills and the willingness to show empathy and understanding for various points of view.Able to communicate with clients in a professional, clear and concise manner is essential.The Receptionist must exercise discretion in dealing with the personal information of clients.Work Environment:The work environment is typical office work such as you would find in a bank, insurance business, accounting firm, law firm or other professional office.
