Administrative AssistantThe Agricultural Analytical Services Laboratory in the College of Agricultural Sciences is hiring an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant provides support to ensure the efficient operation of the office; coordinates schedules, handles communications, organizes files, and assists staff and management with a variety of administrative tasks; supports budget and data activities; serves as a key point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.Responsibilities include:Provide general office support, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to institutional policies and proceduresOrganize, and maintain files, records, and databases in FileMaker ProGreet visitors and provide information; review, respond to, and appropriately direct inquiriesServe as a primary point of contact for all customers for AASLCompose, review, and distribute internal and external communicationsAssist in maintaining calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointmentsReview, edit, and format reports, and correspondenceCollect and organize data, including budgetary and operational informationCompile and maintain records to support departmental and institutional reporting needsInitiate financial transactions, reimbursements, and budget revisions in accordance with AASL policiesMaintain inventory and order office supplies for the lab.Respond to inquiries and issues while ensuring compliance with unit and university policies and proceduresHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretion adhering to the labs privacy policies.Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required CertificationsIf filled as Administrative Assistant - Intermediate Support, this position requires:General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)2+ years of relevant experienceRequired Certifications: NoneIf filled as Administrative Assistant - Support, this position requires:General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)No prior relevant work experience requiredRequired Certifications: NoneBackground Checks/ClearancesEmployment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.

A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
