Administrative Assistant I Threat AssessmentEducation/Certification Required: High school graduate and/or business schoolExperience Required: General office experience and experience with computersSpecial Knowledge/Skills: Possess organizational and time management skills Ability to relate well to others Ability to work independently with little or no supervision Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, works under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintains confidentiality Good work attendance record Require appropriate attire and good personal appearance Technology Proficiency -Level 2 Computer Operations Software productivity tools (i.e., Microsoft Office) E-mail Printers Job-related financial and student management systems Electronic file managementFunction: The Administrative Assistant I Threat Assessment performs in exercising duties of typing, maintaining files, utilizing database systems, requisitions instructional materials, supplies and equipment, answers the telephone, relays messages and maintains schedules.Reports To: Associate Director of Psychological Services/Threat Assessment CoordinatorResponsibilities: Performs general secretarial duties utilizing computer, fax, printer, and other office devices, and calls for repairs. Answers telephones calls, relays messages, answers questions according to approve procedures. Assists in scheduling appointments, receives office visitors, and screens telephone calls/mail. Distributes both school mail and United States mail. Keeps an up-to-date log of absences and submits absentee-substitute payroll forms on special education staff and submits the forms to the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Director for Special Education.

Types letters, reports, memorandums, graphs, proposals, procedures and initiatives, as necessary, orders supplies/materials for special education staff prepares requisitions for payment of reimbursements and services rendered to the office and students. Assists in gathering and organizing data for reports. Maintains and up-to-date file of correspondence, reports, and other matters pertaining to the Department of Psychological Services. Register special education staff attending workshops or conferences. Assists other secretaries with extra duties as time allows.

Assists in preparing agendas and handouts for staff development and meetings. Prepares work orders for reports, forms, and handbooks for printing services. Types requests and completes requisition for outside vendors/stockroom to be processed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director/Coordinator. Maintains websites and digital media.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneWORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to receive information and/or instruction from internal/external customers through spoken expression.

Ability to manipulate tools/equipment/keyboards. Ability to convey information and/or instruction to internal/external customers through spoken expression. Ability to perform work while standing and/or walking for extended periods, up to eight (8) hours a day. Ability to see detailed information, naturally or with correction.Salary: CLER/401: $14.00 minimum/hour (individual salary calculation is based on applicable experience)Days: 226
