Administrative AssistantHampton University, a dynamic HBCU known for excellence in education and community engagement, invites qualified candidates to apply for an Administrative Assistant position at the newly established HU Cares Pharmacy and Integrative Wellness Center. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse campus and community population by supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care for medical and mental health concerns.The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support for Hampton University Cares Program. The successful candidate will report directly to the HU Cares Program Manager(s).Examples of DutiesProvide reminder phone calls and assist with clerical aspects of patient triageReceive and disseminate confidential mail and correspondence exercising discretionDraft responses to routine correspondencePrepare daily schedules for the Clinical StaffManage and maintain all general filesInteract professionally with university officers, faculty, staff, and studentsOrder and maintain office suppliesOrder and maintain laboratory suppliesManage incoming calls to HU CaresDemonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced and confidential environmentDemonstrate a skilled use of computerized applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and databasesOther duties as assigned by the Program Manager(s)Typical QualificationsThis position requires one who is patient-centered, accessible and open to providing administrative support in a medical setting.Experience working with diverse populations.The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and serve as a liaison to community partners.Must possess the ability to administratively deal with student crises as they ariseMust be able to work collaboratively across disciplines.Must have administrative experience and/or proven administrative skillsetSupplemental InformationCompletion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.Administrative support/clerical experienceThe ability to deliver outstanding customer serviceMust Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of constituencies including administrators, faculty, and staffLearn and work with the medical record systemsPerform tasks with use the use of office equipment to include computers, copiers, scanners, etc., and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times.Prioritize, plan, and organize multiple tasks and projects using organizational skills.**This is a grant-funded position, available until June 30th, 2026.

Continuation of the position is contingent upon the continuation of related grant funding.
