Campus Administrative AssistantThe campus Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support to Campus Director and on campuses with a Practical Nursing (PN) Program, support PN program management.The Administrative Assistant will…Answer multi-line phone system and routes calls promptlyAnswer all calls within an average of 4 to 5 secondsGreet and monitor visitors, determine their needs, and notify the proper person/officePerform general clerical duties such as faxing, addressing correspondence, and word processing support as requiredReceive and sort mailEnter, monitor, and update student and/or alumni information into CampusVuePlace orders and create stipend disbursements in Campus Nexus Finance (CNF)Maintain electronic and/or paper files and records for students and/or employees, as directed, maintaining confidentiality at all timesPrepare and maintain faculty files, accrediting forms for faculty.Coordinate check requests, p-card requests and reconciliation, and/or processing of campus invoices to Accounts PayableNew term, end of term, graduation preparation duties (eg, ordering uniforms, badges, laptops, certificates, pins, etc.)Special event administrative supportServe as temporary back-up for Education Administrative AssistantsComplete special projects as assignedSupport PN Program management with routine, as well as, more advanced administrative support including but not limited to preparation for Board of Nursing Examiners monthly meetings and other requirements.Position Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required2 years related work experience requiredExcellent customer service skillsMaintain a professional, lobby environment for all visitorsProficiency in word processing and spreadsheets to generate form letters and memosMust possess good working knowledge of English, spelling, grammar and punctuationAbility to operate standard office machinesProficiency in word processing and spreadsheets and database software with ability to create spreadsheets and databasesAbout our company:Porter and Chester Institute, a trade school in Connecticut and Massachusetts for 75 years, adheres to one basic vision: to educate and train our students to the level that will make them competent employees.
