Administrative Office Assistant (Float)Reports to: Administrative ManagerGeneral Summary Of Duties:Hours and locations will vary depending on the needs of the company. The work in this position contributes to the patient's overall successful interaction within the office. Exceptional people skills are needed.Essential Job Functions:Provide float coverage for various physician officesSchedule patient follow up appointments when necessarySchedule tests, referrals, and surgeriesProvide float coverage for front desk reception and secretarial dutiesAnswer and return phone calls; communicate with insurance companiesContact patients for scheduling, review of history and medications to determine and discuss any required preoperative testing or education.Register patients and update patient demographicsEnsure that all appropriate paperwork is completed prior to scheduling procedureEnsure correct codes and patient information is provided to OR booking officesAppropriately coordinates number and length of cases booked per OR sessionAssists in scheduling patients, check patient's insurance benefits and collect co-paymentsSorting mail/packages presented to front desk and directing to appropriate source; dispersing any incoming faxes to the appropriate source.Answer and triage patient phone callsAdditional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.Requirements:High School education or equivalentPrior medical experience preferredMust be able to travel to all UOI sitesGood computer skills including Microsoft office and outlookEfficiently assist in the coordination of a busy office, including use of email, document scanning, and word processingAbility to be professional, pleasant, cheerful, and enthusiastic demeanorAbility to pay attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills including telephone etiquetteMotivated individual with a team approachMust be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
