The efficient performance of their duties and responsibilities are an integral part of the Unit Five school system.Duties:Greet and assist visitors in the Main OfficeServe as a receptionist: Direct telephone communicationsDeliver messagesSort all mailKeep inventory of supplies and equipmentAssist in emergenciesAid Assistant Principals in follow-up with students and parents regarding unexcused absencesCollaborate with administrators and EOPs to cover other duties as neededPerform all duties necessary to the position and such other duties as may be fixed by the Building PrincipalQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredA minimum of 1-3 yrs. experience in an office administration or related positionMust be able to type 60+ wpmKnowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous mannerMust have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers, education support personnel, building administrators and the general publicEnforce school regulations and policies in a professional mannerAbility to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupilsCompensation: Fully Board Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision available.
Per the Administrative Assistant Salary Schedule, the starting pay range is $19.48 - $23.57 and is based upon experience.
