The AA supervises the front office, communicates directions to others, maintains records, collects funds, enters purchase orders, oversees campus data entry (attendance and PEIMS), and other clerical functions.
The AA keeps records according to the rules for PEIMS documents, performs general clerical and office record keeping tasks. The AA oversees attendance and enrollment, and works in tandem with the Campus Director to track and maintain campus financial and enrollment records. The AA may be called on to provide instructional services to assigned students, supervise students between classes, at playground, assist in re-teaching as needed and, assist in other activities of the school.Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with the employee handbookPerform duties assigned including general clerical and record keepingMaintain accurate PEIMS, attendance and other recordsSupervise students and provide a safe environmentReport any concerns to the Principal/SuperintendentTreat all parents, students and staff in a considerate and respectful mannerComplete all duties assigned by supervisor in a satisfactory mannerManagement in one or more of the following areas:Manage collection of data from staff about student attendance, grades and transcriptsManage operations of a campus officeTake direction for managing workflow of records assignedBusiness office operations, accounts payable, purchase ordersAssist teachers as directed to supervise students at the school and off siteInstructional delivery:Assist teachers as directed to provide lesson activities that actively engage students in learning and maintain disciplineAssist teachers as directed to deliver all electronic, paper products, books, films, or other appropriate media for use with studentsParticipate in staff development activities as assignedWorking Environment:Maintain emotional control under the stress of instructional operationsBe flexible in assisting others as requestedParticipate in professional conferencesRetirement is through the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas and not Social Security.
TRS requires five years of participation before any retirement funds are vested. Texas Workers Compensation covers workers in this position.
