Program Department Administrative AssistantNew York Edge seeks a dynamic, motivated and highly organized individual to fill the role of Program Department Administrative Assistant. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in the management of the daily operations of New York Edge After Schools and Summer Camps.Duties and Responsibilities:Administration for S&S and Staples AccountsManage Bus Requests for sitesPlacing orders for Dominos and PaneraCommunicate with food vendors to receive quotes for food ordersWork with Borough Director on projects and initiativesCreate and Maintain tracking material as requestedSupport sites on need basis in collaboration with the Borough DirectorMonitor and update calendar invites for important meetings, events, and remindersSupport Borough Director and Program Managers on large scale administrative projectsMaintain communication with Program Department and other support staff and Departments on a regular basisTrack data and spending for DivisionRepresent Borough Director in Meetings as neededCross collaborate on initiatives in other departments that support and strengthen the division and organizationOther Duties as assignedRequirements:Demonstrate ability to take initiative, work well under pressure and multi-task in a high demand and fast paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.High attention to detail, responsible, and flexible demeanor.Computer proficiency.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionOccasional late evening and Saturday work scheduleKnowledge of New York City after school and summer camp programmatic components preferredQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree in business administration or a related field.Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degreeAt least three years of relevant administrative experience.Excellent written and personal communication skills, including strong grammar and editing skillsExcel, Word, Power Point, Google Docs, creating graphs and other presentation documentsA goal-oriented focus and a strong commitment to meeting competing deadlinesA positive, enthusiastic, and creative approach to problem-solving***Salary is commensurate with experience and qualification***New York Edge is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action EmployerDisclaimer: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
