Job TitleState of South CarolinaJob DescriptionPerforms and directs daily administrative duties such as handling telephone calls/messages from the public, receiving and sorting incoming correspondence and generating work request using Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS) compiling data for reports as needed. Coordinates and processes personnel actions for the unit and serves as the central contact for personnel matters; interprets personnel policies and procedures. Operates the SCDOT HMMS computer system related to maintenance work such as daily work reports for employees working time. Ensures all time is coded in HMMS and SCEIS daily. Directly responsible for District 2 signal shop time entry. Maintains the Greenwood Maintenance office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed. Maintains SCDOT filing system.
Assigns document numbers, physically filing each document. Completes ARM-11 yearly to keep record retention up to date and disposing of outdated records. Acts as the wellness coordinator for Greenwood Maintenance for the yearly wellness screening. Assists OSHA officer as needed. Serves as liaison for maintenance purchasing cards, monitoring credit card expenditures, and ensuring accurate receipts are on file for all purchases. Required to work extended hours/shifts during inclement weather and emergency operations. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum and Additional RequirementsA high school diploma and six (6) months of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
