Administrative AnalystOnsitePay Rate: $17.00/hr. - $19.00/hr.Job SummaryThe Transmission Analyst will provide analytical support to the SCS leadership team by reviewing and tracking specific Vendor costs as well as researching spending patterns throughout the Substation organization. Attention to detail will be necessary to audit invoices, verify accounts, organizations, and contracts for billing.
Work with SCS contractor Oversight team to understand work practices, processes and job requirements in order to assist with back-office operations. Candidate should have knowledge of CAMP and will serve as a member of the system wide CAMP steering committee, recommending upgrades to the system. The successful candidate will need to establish effective relationships and communications with substation engineering leadership, multiple levels of management, PMO, Financial Support, and contractor firms.Major Job ResponsibilitiesGather cost data and analyze contractor spendingDevelop metrics & management reporting as requested to provide substation management with necessary information to make well informed decisionsAssess & implement process improvements & best practicesProject management skills and an ability to achieve results through teamwork in the midst of competing priorities and potentially conflicting interestsRespond to data requests from engineering leadershipTrain new users in proper use of CAMP and MOBIReview and analyze contractor submitted invoices for services provided to ensure proper accounting and adherence to contract terms and conditionsMonitor contractor spend relative to overall contract authorized amounts and individual project amountsReview contractor proposed work authorizations relative to scope of work and submitted hours and dollarsIdentify and refer work authorization issues to substation engineering oversight personnel as they ariseEstablish and maintain effective relationships with internal business unit partners such as IT, Corporate Financial Support, PMO, contract firms, and othersOther projects & ad hoc reporting as neededAssist with storm restoration duties as neededEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field ORAssociates Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred and 2 years experience ORAssociates Degree in another field and 4 years relevant experienceExperience:Previous experience in accounting, finance, or business administration – preferredUnderstanding of accounting and management reporting – preferredDemonstrated experience with Enterprise Solutions applications (i.e.
MAXIMO, Oracle, Financials, Power Plant, etc.) or other enterprise financial and inventory management platforms (e.g. SAP).Working knowledge of CAMP a plusDemonstrated use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel (pivot tables), Power Point, etc.)Experience coordinating multiple requests and ensuring goals and objectives are met
