Adjuncts - HVAC/R

Summary: Credit part‑time adjunct faculty teaching positions available in HVAC/R. We are looking for motivated and knowledgeable individuals to instruct and facilitate HVAC/R learning in a classroom and lab environment. Additional opportunities may be considered for onsite training in industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan course instruction based on the approved syllabus and outline provided.
• Collaborate with the program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements.
• Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training.
• Observe and evaluate student work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement.
• Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required.
• Stay current on industry developments and relay these changes to students as applicable.

Qualifications

• Technical Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred; industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years in the HVAC/R industry.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification – Types I & II (Universal preferred). RSES or NATE industry certifications are preferred.
• No previous teaching experience required, but the candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Moderate computer and technology skills to facilitate administrative and instructional requirements.

Applicants will be placed in a pool for future consideration if there is no current opening. Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended will be required before a contract is issued.
