Summary: Credit part‑time adjunct faculty teaching positions available in HVAC/R. We are looking for motivated and knowledgeable individuals to instruct and facilitate HVAC/R learning in a classroom and lab environment. Additional opportunities may be considered for onsite training in industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan course instruction based on the approved syllabus and outline provided.
- Collaborate with the program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements.
- Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training.
- Observe and evaluate student work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement.
- Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required.
- Stay current on industry developments and relay these changes to students as applicable.
Qualifications
- Technical Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred; industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years in the HVAC/R industry.
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification – Types I & II (Universal preferred). RSES or NATE industry certifications are preferred.
- No previous teaching experience required, but the candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Moderate computer and technology skills to facilitate administrative and instructional requirements.
Applicants will be placed in a pool for future consideration if there is no current opening. Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended will be required before a contract is issued.
