Position Summary

Western Carolina University is looking for qualified part‑time (adjunct) faculty to teach in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. These appointments are on a course‑by‑course basis. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to public engagement through their teaching, service, and scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Nursing, degree from an appropriately accredited institution. PMHNP board certified with a minimum of two years’ experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in a PMHNP program.
