Job Description Summary

The Department of English & Media Studies invites applicationsfor future adjunct positions to teach our first-year writing class,Critical Reading and Writing, typically offered in the fallsemester. The course emphasizes reading and writing acrosscontexts.

Courses meet in person, and preference will be given tocandidates with an appropriate terminal degree and facility in theuse of information technology in the classroom. A record ofexcellent teaching at the college level is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful applicants will hold a Master's, doctoral, or otherrelevant graduate degree, or are a current doctoral candidate.

Salary Range:

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collectivebargaining agreement between Bentley University and the ServiceEmployees International Union (SEIU) Local 509.

For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensatedat a rate of $7,225.00 per course.

Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall will becompensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
