Adjunct, HVAC/R

Credit part-time adjunct faculty teaching positions available in HVAC/R. The position will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus and outline (provided)
• Collaborate with program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements
• Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training
• Observe and evaluate student’s work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary
• Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required
• Stay current with industry developments and relay these changes to students as applicable

Qualifications

• Technical Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred; industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of five (5) years in HVAC/R industry
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification – minimum types I & II (Universal preferred)
• RSES or NATE industry certifications preferred
• No previous teaching required but candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Moderate computer and technology skills to facilitate administrative and instructional requirements

Technical assistance will be provided as needed and learning workshops are offered on an ongoing basis.
