Pathologists' Assistant Program InstructorA faculty member with the rank of instructor or above is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting for the Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) program. Adjuncts are assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which they have suitable training and experience.ResponsibilitiesThe following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary.Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topicsParticipate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assignedPromote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needsServe on TOUROCOM committees as assigned: Provide reports, budgetary information and other documents as requested by department chairs, directors, and deansAdvise and mentor studentsParticipate in pathologists' assistant student admissions interviewsQualificationsEducation/ExperienceMaster's Degree requiredDoctorate Degree preferredGraduate level degree (Master's or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities sectionPathologists' Assistant ASCP certification and an active New York State Pathologists' Assistant LicenseKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesGeneral administrative duties requiredOverall business acumen, ethical decision making and relationship management skills requiredProficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict managementSalaryMaximum Salary: USD $150.00/Hr.Minimum Salary: USD $120.00/Hr.
