Description
We seek applicants for part-time clinical instructors to teach for our ACEN-accredited within the College's Health Sciences division.
In addition to teaching, general expectations include:
• Evaluate student learning outcomes within established protocols.
• Manage student issues and problems in a manner consistent with the Student Handbook.
• Create a learning environment that fosters student success and the attainment of defined learning outcomes on the master syllabus.
• Demonstrate competence and remain current in the discipline.
• Use major IT systems necessary for performance of basic job duties including email, grade and required attendance submissions, and learning management systems.
• Cooperate with Student Success and Enrollment Services staff in advocating for student persistence and completion.
• Maintain reasonable accessibility to students.
• Cooperate with College-wide and division instructional goals.

Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hours (ECH) of instruction. The current rate of compensation per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $1,011.

EMPLOYEE LEAVE
Paid Leave: Adjunct Faculty shall be eligible for one hour per term of paid leave for each contact hour of load in a given term, which leave shall be noncumulative from academic term to academic term and may be used without stating the reason for the leave. Whenever possible, the Faculty Member shall give prior notice to the Supervising Administrator of his or her intention to use said leave
Bereavement and Legal Leave: Refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Adjunct Faculty.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
With prior approval of the appropriate Supervising Administrator, Adjunct Faculty may be absent from class with pay to attend workshops, conferences, or seminars directly related to their work at the College. Unless a greater amount is approved by the Provost and Vice President, Academic Affairs, the College shall pay up to $400 per fiscal year for workshop, conference, or seminar for fees and expenses incurred by the Faculty Member, which may be requested from a pool not to exceed $12,000 per fiscal year. For Adjunct Faculty in Tiers 2 and above, the professional development allowance may also include memberships in professional organizations, books, subscriptions, publications related to the Faculty Member's academic discipline, documentation of successful completion of a college-level course that advances the Adjunct Faculty Member's professional development, or other professional development as approved by the Provost and Vice President, Academic Affairs or designee.

Requirements
- Master's degree or higher with a major in nursing*
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- At least 2 years of experience in clinical nursing practice
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to teach various hours on weekdays and potentially some weekend hours
- Willingness to travel outside Bloomington/Normal to teach clinical
- Employment or experience in specialty areas such as labor & delivery/OB, pediatrics, mental health, critical care, neuro
