BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Care Physical Therapist (Pool/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Acute Care Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

  Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute-care patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, medical/surgical, and trauma-related conditions.

  Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on restoring function, mobility, and independence.

• n

  Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and patient/caregiver education.

• n

  Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

• n

  Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team.

• n

  Collaborate on discharge planning, including recommending appropriate next levels of care and durable medical equipment.

• n

  Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making.

  n

• n

  Maintain compliance with departmental safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and quality standards.

  n

• n

  Support mentorship, onboarding, and collaboration with therapy assistants and students as applicable.

Requirements:

  Required BLS (Basic Life Support)

  n

• n

  Required PT (Physical Therapy)

  n

• n

  Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain

  n

• n

  Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months

  n

• n

  Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy

  Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist
