Acute Physical Therapist

The Acute Physical Therapist at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) provides evidence-based physical therapy to acute care inpatients, optimizing mobility, function, and safety.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, early mobility in critical care, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, and case managers. The PT supports MUSC’s academic mission by mentoring students, participating in quality improvement, and contributing to research and education while upholding a compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered culture.
