Position Summary
This CT Technologist position performs prescribed imaging procedures according to department and facility policies, ensuring optimal patient care and high-quality image production.
Core Functions
- Perform procedures following and verifying referring providers’ orders, using independent judgment and established protocols.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and/or treatments to be performed.
- Produce high‑quality images, prepare and present them alongside pertinent patient information, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot issues, and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to all safety policies.
- Assume ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, preserving confidentiality of all work information.
- Ensure efficient departmental workflow by monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
- Serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary health care team, interfacing with medical imaging, nursing, and medical staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- State licensure (AZ, WY, NV) as Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire.
- Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT)) within 18 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least two years of clinical experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated effective communication, human relations, data analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional related education and/or experience.
