- Perform prescribed CT/radiologic procedures according to referring providers’ orders and department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols
- Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments
- Produce high-quality images and prepare them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation
- Perform prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality-control measurements; troubleshoot equipment issues and notify appropriate personnel
- Maintain a safe environment and adhere to safety policies
- Maintain confidentiality and fulfill ethical, legal, and professional radiology responsibilities
- Ensure efficient department workflow and maintain adequate supplies and materials
- Work with medical imaging and nursing staff, medical staff, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, families, and regulatory/health agencies
Requirements
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program
- National certification from ARRT(R), ARRT(NM), or NMTCB (CNMT)
- Advanced CT certification from ARRT(CT) or NMTCB (CT) within 18 months of hire
- BLS certification
- Two years of clinical knowledge/experience typically required
- Effective communication and human relations skills
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems
- Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen, and background check required
- State licensure required for AZ, WY, and NV, including Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire; not required in Colorado
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
