Acute Care Pediatric Cardiologist

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking an exceptional Pediatric Cardiologist to join its esteemed Acute Cardiac Care team within the Division of Cardiology. The selected candidate will primarily manage inpatient services, contribute to program development, and participate in outpatient clinic or imaging coverage. This faculty position offers an opportunity to engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives at a nationally ranked pediatric heart institute.

Practice Info

• The Heart Institute provides comprehensive pediatric and adult congenital cardiovascular services including CT surgery, interventional cardiology, cardiac intensive care, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, heart failure, transplant, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital, fetal, and preventative cardiology programs.
• The program serves pediatric and adult congenital heart patients within central and western Pennsylvania, surrounding states, and national and international locations.
• The clinical group consists of 36 pediatric cardiologists, 5 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 8 pediatric cardiac intensivists, 3 advanced fellows, 10 categorical fellows, 30 advanced practice providers, and a staff of more than 300.
• UPMC serves as a regional, national, and international referral center for multiple specialties providing a growing collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill primary responsibilities on the inpatient service and the development of associated programs.
• Provide outpatient cardiology clinic and/or imaging coverage based on skill set and interest.
• Engage in teaching and research.
• Engage in work related to quality improvement, including participating in PAC3 and PC4 organizations.

Compensation

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Requirements

• Pediatric Cardiologist with excellent clinical skills.
• Experience or interest in cardiac rehabilitation (preferred).
• Interest in teaching and research (desirable).
• Open to visa sponsorship.
