Actuary, Long Term Care Experience Studies, Research and DevelopmentThis actuarial role is a leader within the LTC Experience, Research and Development team. The primary goals of this team are to provide experience-based support for the LTC actuarial projection, pricing and valuation areas, maintain and enhance the actuarial experience data warehouse, support other functional areas that have limited actuarial, risk, and LTC business knowledge, and to develop appropriate metrics to monitor and mitigate emerging Long Term Care insurance risks.RESPONSIBILITIESInform LTC actuarial leaders and the senior leadership team of the actuarial assumption development process and emerging experience trendsProvide leadership in the development, implementation and governance of change management standards for LTC actuarial models (pricing, valuation and projections)Engage with Experience, Research and Development team members to lead projects and generate ad hoc and standard experience studies and analysisProvide support for in force management and new product introductionsBe able to respond to questions from senior leadership, auditors, consultants, reinsurers, and other interested partiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSFellow in the Society of Actuaries10+ years of actuarial experienceExperience with actuarial projection, valuation and pricing modelsExcellent oral and written communications skillsStrong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadershipSuperior problem solving skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5 + years of relevant work experience within LTC insurance industryStrong programming and actuarial modeling skillsAble to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple prioritiesAbility to document processes wellAttention to detail, strong focus on accuracy and ability to review actuarial processesProject management skillsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
