Overview
Remote position with preference for candidates in Bloomington, IL, or within commuting distance. We are open to 100% remote work but note that payroll setup is not available in certain states and we prefer to avoid those: California, District of Columbia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Builds actuarial assumptions and models using a variety of tools, including actuarial modeling software, data visualization applications, programming languages and Microsoft Office applications.
- Communicates results to direct management, verbally, in writing or in presentation form. Documents work according to actuarial standards of practice.
- Works towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries.
- Be proficient with actuarial pricing models and complete work.
- Be familiar with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines and ensure contracts and annual testing such as illustration regulations are compliant.
